Frequently
Asked
Questions

These are some of the most common questions I get asked about Hypnotherapy and NLP.

If you have a question about my treatments that is not answered here, please ask me using the form below.

What Is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind, and one that we may experience many times every day of our lives - have you ever drifted off into a daydream only to be told you're 'in a trance'?

Hypnotherapy is a safe, controlled way to access your subconscious mind and make profound changes quickly and easily.

What Is NLP?

NLP is a widely used and accepted science-based method of therapy.

It was developed by a leading Psychologist and a Professor of Linguistics, bringing together previously separate areas of therapy.

NLP helps create desired change in a simple, effective and controlled way working together with the client.

What areas can Hypnotherapy be helpful in?

Hypnotherapy offers a fast and effective therapy for smoking, weight loss, nail biting, fears and phobias, panic attacks, stress, goal achievement and can also help in areas such as sports performance, child birth and pain management.

Even if your condition is not listed on the treatments page, hypnotherapy may be able to help.

How quickly will I experience results from Hypnotherapy?

This will depend on the presenting problem, simple problems like quitting smoking can take as little as one 2 ½ hour session.

The expected duration of therapy will be discussed with you during your first session and will be reassessed throughout the course of therapy.

Will I lose control?

No, you will be in control 100% of the time.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and no one can hypnotise you against your will.

Is everything I say confidential?

As an ethical healthcare professional, everything we discuss during the course of your therapy will be in the strictest confidence.
